Safety
At Peekaboo, making sure that our poles are safe for dancing is our highest priority. We ensure that all our poles undergo rigorous safety checking procedures:

- Our poles receive a GPSA (General Product Safety Assessment). - Our poles undergo strength and bending tests (to our own specification) to ensure they meet the weight limits we clearly state. These are conducted when the poles are screwed into the ceiling and when they are not. They are also conducted when the poles are at their highest (2.6m) and lowest (2.3m) specifications.

- We test the coatings of our poles to make sure they comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals) regulations and follow EN 1811 and EN 12474 testing methods to check for nickel release. - We carry out sample checks on every batch of poles we manufacture. These are tested to destruction to ensure that the chrome plating is resistant to normal use.

- Our poles are also tested using the methods outlined in EN71-part 1 to ensure sharp points and edges do not present a danger to the end user.
